UDAYAPUR, OCT 07 -
An armed group abducted two high school teachers from a jungle lying between Daulpur and Laxmanpur in Saptari district on Thursday.
The teachers of Panchakanya Secondary School based in Triyuga Municipality-11 Udayapur—Suryanarayan Sah and Prahalad Thakur—were taken hostage while they were heading home on a motorbike after the school closed for Dashain festival, according to Raghunath Karki, the headmaster of the school.
Locals said the abductors mercilessly beat up Thakur and left him after he could not walk while they were taking the teachers towards Chure Jungle. But they took Sah along with them.
Thakur, who was found unconscious, was taken to a Nursing Home in Lahan, the school source said.
Karki added the locals who went to search the teachers following the abduction found Thakur lying unconscious and brought him for treatment.
However, the whereabouts of Sah is still unknown.
