KATHMANDU, OCT 02 -
Police detained 16 students for the possession of weapons on Saturday morning.
16 students including Nepali and Indian nationals who were appearing for the MBBS entrace examinations were arrested with two pistols, two magazines and nine rounds of bullets at around 1 this morning.
According to the Metropolitan Police Sector Gaushala, they have also recovered Rs. 50,000 in cash, Indian currency IRs.7, 500 and Chinese currency 2,500 Yuan from the students.
Acting on a tip-off, following the rumors of question paper leak, the police raided the house of Kishore Tandon in Maiti Devi at the wee hours and arrested the students.
