PAANCHTHAR, OCT 01 -
A CPN-UML cadre was detained for possession of a pistol on Friday.
The arrestee has been identified as Kulbahadur Shrestha of Arubote VDC-4.
Police arrested Shrestha with the help from the locals when he was threatening UCPN (Maoist) Village Committee member Mahendra Shrestha with the loaded pistol.
Likewise, one Rajesh Nepali has been detained with four pistols and explosives in Pyuthan.
Further investigation to the incident is underway, police informed.
