KATHMANDU, SEP 28 -
Cash and jewelleries worth around Rs. 1.5 million were stolen on Monday in seperate incidents in the Capital, police said. Thieves broke into the house of Ganesh Shrestha at Baluwatar and looted cash and jewelleries worth Rs. 600,000. They broke the main gate of the house and also looted Rs. 200,000 in cash and 11 tolas of gold. In another incident, cash and valuables worth Rs. 900,000 were stolen from the rented house of Rita Karki, 2, in Lokanthali. According to the police, Rs. 520, 000 in cash, a mobile phone set and gold jewelleries were looted by a group of thieves there.
