Vote counting for NC open competition, zonal seats underway

KATHMANDU, SEP 25 - Vote counting for the remaining seats of the Nepali Congress (NC) Central Working Committee—25 seats under open competition and 14 zonal seats—as part of the NC 12th General Convention is underway at the party headquarters in Sanepa on Saturday.
NC members Arjun Narsingh Kc, Khum Bahadur Khadka, Pradeep Giri, Ram Chandra Poudel, Gagan Thapa, Sujata Koirala, Shekhar Koirala, Ram Sharan Mahat, Bal Krishna Khand and Shashank Koirala are leading in the open competition.
All together 3,062 votes were cast in the election held at Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi, on Tuesday.
