Two dead as car carrying NC cadres plunges into Trishuli
KATHMANDU, SEP 22 -
Two persons have been confirmed dead and another one missing when a private car carrying participants of the Nepali Congress 12th General Convention plunged into the Trishuli River on Wednesday. Six persons were onboard the ill-fated car.
The car (Na 3 Cha 4792) en route to Pokhara from the Capital skidded off the road at Ramailo Danda at Dahre Chowk, Chitwan at around 3.30 this afternoon, police said.
Three of those travelling in the car have been rescued safely. The deceased persons have not been identified yet.
It has been reported that NC Kaski district member Madan Bahadur KC, area number 2 President Madhu Bastola and Krishna Parajuli were traveling in the car.
