Six missing in Baitadi landslide rescued
BAITADI, SEP 14 -
The six persons from a single family, who had gone missing in the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall at Bijuli of Rodidewal-9 in Baitadi district, have been safely rescued on Tuesday.
Four of the six, who went missing in the landslide that engulfed the residence of local Tara Singh Pujara at around 9.30 a.m. this morning—Tara Singh Pujara, Birendra Pujara, Gita Pujara, and Kabita Pujara—were rescued after two hours of intensive search.
The other two—Soni Pujara and Rukwina Pujara—were rescued by the locals shortly after the mishap.
The incident site is an hour walk from the Giregada Police Station.
