KATHMANDU, SEP 10 - Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has said on Friday that she will not associate herself to any of the panels in the upcoming 12th general convention of the party.
She added the various blocs within the party would only fuel internal rift.
In an interaction program organised at the Reporters’ Club, Kathmandu, Koirala decided not to join any of the panels, as the formation of panels will only weaken the party thereby increasing the chances of ‘infiltration of wrong persons'.
Koira, who is also the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, claimed that she would contend independently for the post of general secretary in the forthcoming general assembly.
According to Koirala, she has filed the candidacy to unite the neglected communities within the parties.
