Landslide obstructs Prithvi Highway

Landslide at Simaltal in Kabilas VDC-6 of Chitwan on the Muglin-Narayangadh stretch has obstructed the Prithivi Highway since Monday morning.

The mudslide took place at around 5 in the morning and efforts are being made to clear off the road, the District Police Office in Chitwan said.

Continuous rainfall has been hampering effort to even resume one-way traffic in the area, police said.

Hundreds of passengers have been left stranded due to the obstruction.
