Buddha Air aircraft makes emergency landing in Bhairahawa
BHAIRAHAWA, SEP 04 -
Buddha Air's ATR aircraft en route to Kathmandu from Bhairahawa executed an emergency landing at Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa on Saturday morning.
The aircraft, which took off under Buddha Air Flight No. 852, made emergency landing nine minutes after take-off, Devananda Upadhyay, Director of Civil Aviation Authority Office at the airport, informed.
The aircraft made the return from a five-mile distance after the ‘autopilot’ feature activated itself in the cockpit and wrong symbols were seen.
Four passengers, along with Captain Bhawana Panta, Pilot Yash Rawal and two flight attendants, were aboard.
