Maoist spokeperson refutes Mainali's claim
KATHMANDU, SEP 03 - UCPN (Maoist) Spokeperson Dinanath Sharma has said on Friday that his party's serious attention was drawn to the news carried in different media quoting the CPN (ML) General Secretary CP Mainali that the party has proposed to offer Rs. 50 million to the CPN (ML) if it voted for the UCPN (Maoist) candidate in the prime ministerial election.
Issuing a press release, the UCPN (Maoist) strongly denounced the propaganda by CPN (ML) General Secretary Mainali coming to the conclusion that it was baseless, apolitical and ill-intentioned.
CP Mainali's efforts at taking pleasure by casting aspersions against the UCPN (Maoist) instead of accepting the reality of the split in his party due to his extreme oppression of his party CA members, the rightist alliance and anti-political activities which expresses CP Mainali's and his party's final gasp for existence, the press release stated.
