Ex Prince Himani makes it despite obstruction
DOLAKHA, AUG 31 -
UCPN (Maoist) cadres obstructed the vehicle carrying former Princess Himani Shah at Pushpalal highway in Dolakha on Tuesday. Shah was on her way to participate in a programme at southern Namdu village in the district to formally hand over the equipments of a drinking water project.
The Maoists tried to block the former princess’s way at Kirantichap and nearby Tamakoshi bazaar by laying lug and trucks respectively. However, Himani made it to the programme by removing the hurdles.
As there was no one on the scene, it has not been confirmed who kept the hurdles.
Earlier today, Himani paid a visit to Tripura Sundari temple and Charighang monastery.
Likewise, the ex-princess handed over financial assistance to an orphanage school and distributed game materials to the children.
Himani arrived here in the district on Monday to participate in various programmes.
