Kishunji house probe
KATHMANDU, AUG 30 -
Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has deployed its technicians to look into why former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai’s house caved in.
The front yard of the government-built house caved in due to incessant rainfall on Thursday.
“A probe team that was deployed on Sunday said the construction quality did not met common standards,” said CIAA Spokesman Ishwori Paudyal.
The compound wall built some four months ago
had collapsed. “The commission has formed a team to carry out further investigation,” Paudel added. The government had constructed the single storey structure for Bhattarai at Badegaun of Lalitpur, some 15 km from Kathmandu, two years ago.
