NAWALPARASI, AUG 25 -
Two people have been swept away by the flooded rivers in Nawalparsi district.
One Hom Nath Pandey, 45, a resident of Rakuwa-6 was swept away by the Baudi River in Ruchang VDC of the district on Tuesday, according to local resident Rum Bahadur Birta.
Pandey was swept away when he tried to cross the river. His body is yet to be recovered.
Likewise, Imbran Ahmed, 11, of Paklihawa-9 has been swept away by the Narayani River in Paklihawa VDC of the district.
Ahmed was trying to retrieve the wood flowing downstream the flooded river, when he was taken away by the current, the District Police Office, Nawalparasi said.
