CHITWAN, AUG 19 -
In yet another incident of daring broad daylight shootout, a gang of bike-borne assailants opened fire at Lawyer Padam Dahal in front Chitwan District Police Office at around 10 Thursday morning.
However, Dahal survived the murder attempt. He has sustained minor injury in the incident, according to the police.
Following the incident, one Dil Bahadur Lama, 29, of Parsa district surrendered to the police with weapons.
According to eyewitnesses, six men in three black pulsar motorcycles opened fire at the advocate this morning.
Among the three motorcycles, two men who came on the (Na 9 Pa 6064) pulsar opened fire at Dahal.
Five others involved in the incident are absconding
Meanwhile, police have been searching for the assailants. Police said the reason behind the attack has yet to be known.
