DAMAULI, AUG 13 - President of Nepal Student Union Pradeep Poudel said the education sector will not rise above unless the quality of public schools is increased.
Talking to reporters at Damauli here today, he said employment-oriented education is the need of hour.
Stating that the campaign for public school reform will be intensified, he said that the brain drain of the skilled human resource is costing the country. Political instability is hitting the education sector hard, he said.
Referring to Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) phase-out, he said the 13 student unions and the Ministry of Education had signed an agreement and decided to phase out PCL.
