Oli bloc writes note of dissent on UML CC decision
KATHMANDU, AUG 11 - The CPN-UML central members close to leader KP Sharma Oli have expressed dissatisfaction over the party decision to stay neutral in the fifth round of election for prime minister’s post slated for Aug. 18.
Demanding to review the party’s decision to stay neutral in today’s election, the disgruntled leaders wrote a note of dissent on the party Central Committee (CC) decision to stay neutral in the next election fifth round of election for prime minister’s post.
The UML CC meet today decided to convene a meeting on Aug. 19 to review its earlier decision to stay neutral if no consensus could be forged in the fifth round of election.
Today’s CC meet endorsed an eight-point concept paper and make efforts to forge national consensus. The party has also decided to urge both the Nepal Congress and UCPN (Maoist) to withdraw their candidacies from the ongoing prime ministerial race.
The eight-point concept paper has decided abstain from voting in the fifth round of election if consensus could not be forged by Aug 18.
