KATHMANDU, AUG 08 - The agitating 11 students’ unions have demonstrated with their School Leaving Certificate (SLC) marksheets in front of District Education Offices (DEOs) nationwide demanding admission in the Proficiency Level Certificate (PCL) for the next session on Sunday.
Around 200 students staged the demonstration with their SLC marksheets in front of Ministry of Education (MoE) at Keshar Mahal in the Capital demanding withdrawal of the Tribhuvan University (TU)’s PCL phase-out decision, Kapileshwor Yadav, President of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Loktantrik (MJF-L)-affiliated student union, informed.
The students' unions have warned that they will call for an indefinite academic strike if their demands go unheard.
They have been protesting against the phase out decision in different stages to pressurise TU to withdraw the same.
