Agenda for economic development needed: Chemjong
BAGLUNG, JUL 31 -
Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong said on Saturday that the nation should exit from the current phase of political agenda, and enter into and work on the agenda for economic development at the earliest.
Monitoring a school built with the help of the ministry in Baglung today, Chemjong stated that the nation cannot move forward unless it gets a grip on the agenda for economic development.
He added if the current transitional phase continues, Nepal will lag behind in terms of economic development in the world.
Chemjong appealed to the government to implement policies in order to create a favourable environment for co-operatives to flourish in the country.
He underscored the importance of government sector, private sector, and co-operative organisations in the development of the country.
All the programmes launched by the government should be directed towards development, he added.
Chemjong also inaugurated the second general convention of Suvida Multi-purpose Co-operative here today.
