Bhutanese refugees on Saturday put off the hunger strike they had launched demanding food relief. Coordinator of agitating refugees Nandu Poudel said the agitation was called off after Chief District Officer Yadav Prasad Koirala pledged to take initiative to filfill their demands. Poudel warned that they will resort to protests again if the authorities concerned did not fulfill their demands within 15 days.
