Oli lashes out at UML establishment faction
KATHMANDU, JUL 31 - Senior leader of the CPN-UML, KP Oli, said on Saturday that the party’s establishment faction disregarded the party policies by not convening the Central Committee (CC) meeting.
Oli took serious exception over the claim that convening the meeting would be pointless unless a new situation presents itself. He suggested the leadership not to opine against the party’s decision.
Speaking at a programme organised at Jorpati in the Capital today, Oli vented his frustration against the party establishment faction that he claimed, is executing actions against the party’s benefit by averting the CC meeting.
The establishment side is against the meeting fearing decisions against it, Oli sniped.
Oli said that the UCPN (Maoist) could not be handed over the leadership in the new government unless it stops encouraging violence and gets disarmed.
He expressed the possibility of supporting Nepali Congress (NC) in the next runoff elections if a voting-situation presents itself.
Oli also appealed to the other parties not to vote in favour of the Maoists in the elections scheduled for August 2.
