A man has been caned to death at Prakauli Phulhata in Mohattari Wednesday night.
According to District Police Office, Saudagar Mahara ,55, of Phulhata-5 was attacked with a lathi by Mahesh Pandey of the same place to exact revenge over an unsettled dispute between them and injured him severely.
Mahara died later on the way to Dharan for treatment, the police said.
Police are searching for Pandey who is absconding.
