Madhesi parties to stay away from prime ministerial runoff
KATHMANDU, JUL 23 - The Four Madhes-based parties decided to stay away from the prime ministerial runoff slated for today, thereby ending the remaining little chances of picking a new prime minister.
In a press conference organised after holding a broad discussion on Wednesday, the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) announced the decision to stay away from the re-election citing the need for further discussion with the major political parties.
The decision of the UDMF, an alliance of the Madhes-based parties, has made it almost certain that the new prime minister will not be elected in today’s re-election as well.
