JTMM calls Mahottari banda today

Normal life in Mahottari district has been crippled on Thursday due to a day-long Madhes banda called by Janatanrik Terai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Mukti), an underground armed outfit operational in the Tarai region.
Transportation has come to a grinding halt in the region. No public service vehicles and taxies plied on the roads in the district due to the banda.
However, markets and the government and non-government offices remained open as usual.
The JTMM called the banda to mark the memorial of its leader Abhinas Mukti who was killed by the security forces a year ago.
