Energy Minister blames Maoists for political complexities
BHARATPUR, JUL 16 - Energy Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat on Friday said the political complexities have surfaced in the country due to lack of full-fledged commitment to multiparty system of the UCPN (Maoist) and their reluctance to detach themselves from the violence.
The other political parties have not been able to trust the Maoist due to its oft-repeated challenge to capture the state power by breaching the constitution, Mahat remarked.
Speaking at a function at Bharatpur in Chitwan today, the outgoing minister said the political deadlock cannot be resolved unless the Maoist shuns its totalitarian mentality.
While comparing the politics with football match between two teams, Mahat claimed that the Maoists' mentality to become the winner anyhow has created the political complexities.
The Minister said that the Maoist would not be able to lead the government unless it completely implements the past agreements.
All the political parties' have been eying the prime minister's chair but the differences remains with the procedure.
