DANG, JUN 30 - A teenager was gang raped in Tulsipur, the headquarters of Dang district, on Tuesday.
An 18-year-old girl from Chunbang VDC-2 of Rukum was raped by six men at New Rapti Guest House, Inspector of Area Police Office, Prakash Sapkota informed.
She was first physically assaulted by the drunken men in the room that she rented at the guesthouse at around eleven last night.
The men dragged her to a maize field, three kilometers south, and raped her, police said. The relative with whom she rented the room was beaten and chased away before the mishap.
Police ran an unsuccessful search for the girl the whole night after they were informed by the hotel owner. The victim came in police contact on Wednesday morning.
She is mentally traumatised, informed the police.
The guilty have been identified and a separate police squad has been formed for their apprehension, he added.
