DANG, JUN 19 -

A bomb disposal squad of Nepal Army defused one pressure cooker bomb planted at Janajyoti Bidhyamandir School in Shukrapath Tole of Ghorahi-11, Dang on Saturday.

The disposal squad in the leadership of NA Captain Nar Bahadur Subedi defused the bomb placed at the main gate of the school. The bomb could have its effect up to 30 meters if it had not been detonated, the disposal squad informed.

Police have suspected that Nepal Marxbadi Ganatantrik Young Tiger (NMGYT) might be behind the scene as there were incidents that the NMGYT had planted bombs in Tulsipur area if the people and organisations failed to provide donation as demanded.

The NMGYT, a little known group, had sent a letter to the principle of the school, Yuvraj Yogi, three days back demanding donation.

Meanwhile, issuing a press release today, Private and Boarding Schools' Organisation Nepal, Dang, has condemned the act of planting bombs in school which spreads terror among the students who have right to education in peaceful environment.
