Three killed in two separate bus accidents in Trishuli

CHITWAN, JUN 17 -

A person has been killed when a truck (Na 3 Kha 691) bound for Narayangadh plunged into the Trishuli River at Darechowk on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as truck driver Surendra Ghimire. Likewise, truck assistant driver Suman Lama has been injured in the accident.

Meanwhile, two persons have been killed and one other injured when a truck plunged into the Trishuli River early Thursday morning.

The accident took place when a Narayangarh-bound mini truck from Kathmandu (Na. 2 Kha. 5972) carrying chickens veered off some 100 feet from the highway nearby Nagdi stream in Darechowk VDC-3 of Chitwan at around 1.45 this morning, according to District Police Office.

The deceased have been identified as Saila, 30 of Dhading Naubise and Kaviraj Gartaula, 20, of Dhading Jeevanpur.

Truck driver Maniram Thapa, 26, of Dhading Jeevanpur-3 has been seriously injured. He is undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur hospital, said Chitwan Police.
