KATHMANDU, JUN 04 - Australia has expressed commitment to continue its scholarship to Nepali students and support to the Association of Nepalese from Australia (ANAA), the organisation of Nepali students who graduated from Australia.
Speaking at a programme to mark the golden jubilee of the bilateral relation with Nepal and ANAA’s first annual general meeting, Australian Ambassador Susan Grace said Australia continues to deliver on its objective to help the developing countries reduce poverty through the scholarship programme.
“I believe that ANNA will be instrumental in helping the alumni deepen their experience and maintain their connection to Australia in the long run,” said Grace.
“I urge the alumni to creatively explore the possibilities and avenues for effective use of their knowledge and experience for nation building.”
Since 1995, the Australian government has provided more than 300 scholarships to Nepali students.
