Maoists snub special committee meet
KATHMANDU, JUN 02 -
The scheduled meeting of the Special Committee for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of Maoist combatants has been put off on Wednesday as the UCPN (Maoist) did not turn up at the meeting.
The meeting, called for 4 p.m. this afternoon at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar, was boycotted by the Maoists citing "national political scenario".
The party turned down the meeting as it is meaningless to sit at it at a time when the nation's politics itself is caught up in differences, Maoist representative at the army integration special committee Janardan Sharma informed.
