Pentavalent vaccines in Nepal soon
KATHMANDU, MAY 12 -
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)-Nepal has said that pentavalent vaccines will arrive Nepal by the end of May. It combines five different vaccines in an injection to protect against five diseases, including diphtheria, Tetanus and Hepatitis-B.
"The Supply Division in Copenhagen will dispatch a consignment of 750,000 doses of pentavalent vaccine on May 17 which will reach the country by the end of May," said the UN body in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement comes in reference to the media reports on the scarcity of such vaccines in the country and the role played by the government and UNICEF in the supply of those vaccines.
