CHITWAN, APR 16 -
Second national youth conference on climate change kicked off at Sauraha in Chitwan district on Friday.
Altogether 75 youth representatives from Mountain, Hill and Tarai region have participated in the three-day-long conference.
The conference has been jointly organised by Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) and Nepali Youth for Climate Action (NYCA). The participants will discuss on climate change, its effects and solution to minimising the problems, said programme coordinator Abhishek Shrestha.
According to the organisers, the meeting plans to issue Sauraha declaration.
The organisers have also decided to hold a ‘Green Idea Cup’ contest during the conference on youth’s role for minimising the effects of climate change.
The First Youth Conference on Climate change was held in the capital last year. RSS
