18 Tibetans freed from police detention
KATHMANDU, MAR 29 - Police on Monday released 18 Tibetan exiles who were arrested from the capital on charge of anti-China activities earlier this month.
According to Superientendent of Police Ganesh KC, Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka, the Tibetans were freed as they were deemed no threat to the public.
Altogether 23 Tibetans were arrested from outside the Chinese Embassy complex in Hattisar while they were staging anti-China demonstration on March 10.
They taken in preventive detention for 90 days under the Public security Act.
