Success of peace and statute will be two wreath at Koirala's foot: DP Tripathi
KATHMAMNDU, MAR 21 -
Indian Nationalist Congress Party (NSP) leader DP Tripathi urged the Nepali political parties and leaders to place two garlands of the peace process and statue drafting as the last respect to GP Koirala.
The Indian leader said after paying his last tribute to Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koriala at Dashrath Stadium, where late Koirala's body has been kept to allow the leaders, diplomats and commoners to offer the last respect to Koirala.
He remarked that the greatest tribute to Girijababu would be to complete the peace process and the constitution drafting.
"I think the completion of the peace process and the statue drafting is like putting two garlands at GP Koiral's two foot to pay the last respects to Koirala," said Tripathi talking to media shortly after placing the garland at Koiral's body.
"We are all sorrowful and the whole country (India) is mourning the death of Girijababau (GP Koirala). He has been so close to us," said DP Tripathi, "Koirala was the real guardian politician of South Asia. It’s a historic loss."
Tripathi said the passing away of Koirala is a great loss not only to the Nepali people but to all of us He remarked that the greatest tribute to Girijababu would be to complete the peace process and the constitution drafting.
"This is moment of mourning. We sympathize with people of Nepal. Our hearts reach out to all of you and this is great tragedy which had befallen us," said the India leader.
He urged the Nepali political parties and leaders to place two garlands of the peace process and statue drafting by as the last respect to GP Koirala.
A delegation of Indian leaders and Ministers arrived here in the capital and offered their last respect to late Koirala.
