NC will move in 'collective leadership', says Poudel

KATHMANDU, MAR 20 -

Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel said on Saturday that the NC will now move forward with 'collective leadership' after the demise of party president Girija Prasad Koirala.

The NC leader, who arrived here at Mandikhatar to pay tribute to late NC President Girija Prasad Koirala, said, "The recently concluded NC general convention has decided that the party will move in collective leadership."

While saying that the High Level Political Mechanism will be given continuity, the NC parliamentary party leader pledged to continue the 'journey of peace and democracy initiated by late Koirala.'

Late NC President was the coordinator of HLPM so formed to defuse the political standoff, conclude the peace process and promulgate the new constitution on time.
