KATHMANDU, MAR 20 -
A meeting of Constitutional Council (CC) earlier scheduled for Saturday morning has been postponed.
It has been learnt that the meeting was postponed due to the deteriorating health condition of Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala.
The meeting was called to recommend the names for the appointments of chiefs and other office bearers at the constitutional bodies that have remained vacant for a long time.
No appointment has been made so far at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Election Commission, Civil Service Commission, and others due to the differences among the ruling political parties.
There was a possibility of appointments today following the agreement between the NC and the CPN-UML on Friday.
