DOLAKHA, MAR 20 -
One UCPN (Maoist) cadre has been killed and four others hurt when an unidentified gang attacked them at Mirge VDC in south-western part of Dolakha district Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dipak Dahal. His body was found lying at the bank of river on Saturday.
The gang attacked the Maoist cadres with sharp weapons out of the blue while they were returning in a group after holding discussion about the upcoming election for the office bearers at Kalidurga Secondary School Management Committee.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Charikot-based community hospital.
The Maoists have alleged that the attack was premeditated.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
