SSP’s house looted

KATHMANDU, MAR 20 - An unidentified group broke into the house of a senior police officer in the Capital on late Thursday night.

The robbers carrying sharp weapons and iron rods barged into Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jaya Bahadur Chand's house in Hatigauda and made off with cash and belongings worth around Rs. 1.2 million.

The robbers took Chand's wife and children under control before pulling off the heist.  SSP Chand, who is based in Nepalgunj, arrived in Kathmandu on Friday. Investiga-

ting is under way, said police.
