Govt preparing to propose names for three key posts
KATHMANDU, MAR 19 -
The government is preparing to propose Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada for the post of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor, and Jagadish Chandra Pokharel and Bidyadhar Mallik for the post of vice chair af National Planning Commission (NPC) and Poverty Alleviation Trust (PAT) respectively.
The Nepali Congress office bearers decided to nominate Pokharel and Mallik the key posts Friday aftertoon as per the agreement with the UML.
A joint meeting of the major two allies in the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led coalition that decided to pick up Khatiwada as the central bank governor earlier today.
Pokharel is the NPC vice chair during Girja Prasad Koirala-led government, while Mallik was finance secretary.
