KATHMANDU, MAR 18 -
In the wake of mounting criticism over its failure to maintain law and order, the Home Ministry on Thursday initiated the review of Special Security Plan (SSP).
“We reviewed the peace and security situations and discussed the review of the action plan on the SSP,” said Home Minister Bhim Rawal after the meeting at his ministry.
He said, “The meeting discussed the ways to make the security plan more effective.”
He added that the discussion figured issues including threats issued to the industrialists, entrepreneurs, media, employees and professionals, and the ways to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Home Ministry, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and the National Investigation Department.
