KATHMANDU, MAR 17 - UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said on Wednesday that ailing Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala, during a brief meeting with him, asked him to “take the responsibility”.

The Maoist chairman, who went to meet NC president Koirala at Sahid Gangalal Heart Centre in Bansbari today, said so while talking to journalists after enquiring about Koirala’s health.

“Now the responsibility is upon your shoulder,” said Dahal as told by the octogenarian NC leader to him in a “serious note” during his brief meeting. He added, “I assured him to do the best from my side.”

Maoist Chairman Dahal said the discussion centered on Koirala’s health and the ways to end the deadlock.

He added that Koirala’s health has improved a lot but it will take time for complete recovery.
