Koirala discharged from hospital

KATHMANDU, MAR 17 - Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala has been discharged from the hospital after his health condition showed signs of improvement on Wednesday.
He has been taken to the residence of his daughter Sujata Koirala at Mandikatar in the capital following his discharge from Sahid Gangalal Heart Centre in Bansbari.
A huge number of NC leaders, cadres and journalists thronged the hospital while the octogenarian leader was being discharged from the hospital.
Earlier today, doctors attending on Koirala confirmed that his health has been grudually getting better.The oxygen level in his blood has increased, the doctors added.
Koirala also expressed his desire to take rest at home. He was rushed to the hospital in Bansbari on Sunday evening after the level of hemoglobin in his blood dropped and complained difficulties in breathing.
Dahal visits Koirala
Shortly before Koirala's discharge from the hospital, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal went to the hospital to visit ailing Koirala.
During the brief meeting, Dahal enquired about Koirala's health condition.
Koirala, a chronic patient of pulmonary disease, has been suffering from chest and urinary tract infection following which he has been confined to bed for months.
