PANCHTHAR, MAR 17 -

Surya Laksam of local Nagi VDC-2 killed his daughter, Ram Maya Laksam,10, stabbing her with a Khukuri. His son 14-year-old Khagendra was also injured in the attack.

Khagendra said his father killed his sister and severely beat him over the issue of a kite making off with a chick.

Police said the father is absconding after the incident. Khagendra is undergoing treatment at the primary health centre at Gopetar.

Meanwhile, Parbat Lawoti, 17, of Panchthar Bharapa-3 died on spot after falling off a moving bus. The bus was going towards Jhapa from Taplejung.
