Bomb planted to disrupt Janamorcha convention

KATHMANDU, MAR 17 -

A bomb disposal squad of the Armed Police Force (APF) defused two bombs planted at Nepal Academy Hall in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier, unidentified persons had planted two bombs at the building to disrupt Rastriya Janamorcha Partys' Convention against Federalism due to kick off today.

It is not known who planted the bombs and what was the motive behind it.

Security in the area was tightened following the incident.

Meanwhile, RJP chairman Chitra Bahadur KC has condemned the incident.

Talking to journalists, KC charged that those who are in favour of federalism have planted bomb to disrupt the convention.
