JHAPA, MAR 17 -

The educational institutions that were shut down in nine districts in eastern Nepal have been resumed from Wednesday.

Sanghiya Vidyarthi Union affiliated with Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajya Parishad (Palungwa) had imposed strike demanding a proportional election system in the Federation of Students Union, and declaration of one of its activist as martyr.

The student body had schools and colleges in Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Sunsari, Morang, Taplejung, and Sankhuwasabha closed down since Sunday.
