JANAKPUR, MAR 16 - Police have said that the man, who shot dead Janakpur-based media entrepreneur Arun Kumar Singhaniya, has been identified. They, however, denied to give away the shooter's name.

Superintendent of Police Shyam Khadka said the gunman is a resident of Dhanusha district and his photo and identity have been circulated in police offices nationwide.

He said that considering the chances of Singhaniya's killer fleeing to India after the murder, a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Rup Kumar Neupane was sent to the neighbouring country.

Singhaniya, publisher of Janakpur Today daily, was gunned down on March 1 at Bhanu Chowk of Janakpur.
