Nepali Diaspora urged for success of NTY 2011
KATHMANDU, MAR 16 -
Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharad Singh Bhandari, who is currently in Japan, has urged all Nepali Diaspora to make the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 successful.
Nepali people living in several countries being goodwill ambassadors should disseminate positive messages about Nepal that the country is gifted by nature and is a safe tourism destination, he said on Monday while speaking at a function in Tokyo organised by Nepal Students’ Association.
The government has started equipping the Tribhuvan International Airport with modern facilities, buying planes for Nepal Airlines Corporation, effective management of garbage and other reformative works, Rajendra Parajuli, chairman of the students’ body quoted Minister Bhandari as saying.
We have to start an economic revolution in Nepal once the country gets the new constitution and concludes peace process, he said.
Nepalese Ambassador to Japan Ganesh Yonjen, Chairman of International Coordination Council, Non-Resident Nepalis, Devman Hirachan and some others, who participated in the programme, urged Minister Bhandari to build necessary infrastructure for the tourism year 2011.
