Nemwang urges parties to respect people's mandate
LALITPUR, MAR 16 -
Constituent Assembly (CA) chairman Subash Nemwang has stressed that political parties should give up their stances for issuing the constitution in the stipulated time.
While inaugurating a discussion programme on the constitution organised by the Federation of District Development Committees in Lalitpur on Tuesday, Nemwang said constitution making would negatively be affected if parties do not give up their stances and reach the consensus soon.
He also urged parties to remove the differences seen in nine reports prepared by the CA and appealed to the leaders of major parties to respect the people's mandate, given for writing the new constitution.
At the same programme, federation's former president Madhav Poudel informed that the federation has been operating different programmes in five districts to ensure the rights of women belonging to the marginalised communities in the new constitution.
