UK pledges Rs 6 billion for health sector
KATHMANDU, MAR 16 -
The United Kingdom has pledged Rs. 6 billion support to Nepal for its health services for next five years.
Issuing a press statement in Kathmandu, British aid agency UKaid said the support will help save the lives of more than 45,000 people, including many mothers and their babies.
Over the next five years the Nepal Health Sector Programme will focus on delivery of the MDGs – not only child and maternal health but also providing better nutrition and combating HIV/ AIDS.
