No-trust motion to 'divert attention from constitution'

TATOPANI, SINDHUPALCHOWK, MAR 15 - Minister for Information and Communications, who is also the government spokesperson, Shanker Pokharel on Monday said the UCPN (Maoist) is trying to bring in the no confidence motion against the government to divert the issue of constitution drafting. He said the government and the parties taking part in it are ready to face the Maoist challenge in the Parliament.

Speaking at the inaugural of Kathmandu-Tatopani Fibre Cable System in Tatopani of Sindhupalchok, Minister Pokharel charged that the main opposition party has thought that instability and disorder will be in their favour . "But that is not the case. If instability prevails, the state will be weakened," he said, "And, if the state is weak, all will be weak."

Interpol's help sought

Meanwhile, he told reporters that the killers of media entrepreneur have been identified, and the government is trying to take Interpol's help to take hold of them. According to him, they are India-based international criminals.
